Tynepark resource centre has been a meeting place for people with mental health problems for many years. Unfortunately, it has now come to the end of the road.
Tynepark has been sold and the users have been issued with a notice to quit by 25th July this year. It will then be handed over to another, as yet, unknown organisation.
The drop in facility at Tynepark will no longer be available, a shame since some people have been attending for over 15 years.
However, the garden centre at Tynepark is still open and all plants must be sold, probably by the same date, 25th July. Therefore, if you have spaces in your garden that need filled up, pop down to Tynepark. You won’t get your plants cheaper elsewhere. This year Tynepark had a bigger variety of plants and flowers than ever. Please do drop in and have a look for yourself.
The garden is open Monday to Saturday from around 10am till 4:30pm
How do you get there?
- Head up Sidegate in the direction of St Mary’s church.
- Turn left down the little lane between the two churches
- The garden is at the bottom of the lane..
- Nae borra!!!
