New Year FireworksThe Radio Saltire Web Team have just posted this year’s New Year Schedule.

Just like last week, our schedule promises some great programmes presented by the team you’ve come to know and love.

Mixed in with the live shows are one or two re-runs of shows you’ve asked to hear again. There’s also a number of presenters with more availability during the holiday period, so look out for them at times you might not expect!

Any messages, requests or dedications can be emailed direct to the Studio via studio@radiosaltire.org. Alternatively, use our Contact Form and the Web Team will pass them on.

We hope you all enjoyed Christmas and wish everyone a Happy and Prosperous New Year.

Everyone at East Lothian FM hopes that all our listeners had a great Christmas and are looking forward to a fun filled New Year.

Extra New Year Shows

Our New Year Schedules will be a little different to usual with the addition of two packed out shows from Craig Gordon. He’ll be in the studio on both Tuesday 1st and Wednesday 2nd between 2 and 6pm.

Hector will be in for his usual shows this week so listen out for a fantastic Scottish Music Show on New Year’s Day followed by Ron’s New Year Folk Club. These are shows that have been confirmed so far but changes are still possible and will be announced here!

Kilmarnock Edition

Kilmarnock Edition play Tyninghame

East Lothian FM are sponsoring a concert by Kilmarnock Edition in Tyninghame on January 12th. You can find full details on our Calendar Post. The band members are all accomplished singer / songwriters in their own right with roots in Scots, Gaelic and English songs mixed with acoustic folk and more.

Hector’s Weight Keeps Falling

Hector is continuing his Sponsored Slim. We’ve not been given an update since Christmas but all signs suggest he’s still doing well. Check out the page HERE if you want to sponsor him!

Onwards & Upwards

As the new University terms begins, a couple of our presenters are moving away to continue their studies. Everyone at East Lothian FM wishes Rory Fraser and Rachel Laird all the very best. They both joined the ELFM family very early on and we were delighted to have them. Fingers crossed, they’ll make it back into the Studio for a holiday special!

New Voices on ELFM

So, with a couple of our presenters heading off to Uni, what better time to welcome new faces to the station?

Alan “Shakin” Stevens has already made himself comfy in our Studio chair. His Afternoon Show started last week and he will be a regular fixture every Wednesday and Thursday Afternoons.

Lee J Watt will make his dĂ©but on Monday evening. To celebrate the event, he’s invited Shorty (of Friday night’s Shorty’s Club Classics) along for a chat. Join him at 8pm every Monday from tomorrow.

Gregor Robertson is one of East Lothian FM’s Directors. So far, he’s kept fairly quiet and avoided too much attention, but that couldn’t last! He’ll change the tempo on Wednesday with his Classical Corner. 2 hours of classical music between 4 & 6pm. He’ll join us again at 4pm Thursday for an hour of Folk music.
