Scott was born in the 1960’s and comes from Tranent in East Lothian. He is a football and keep-fit fanatic and helps to train a number of teams in the county including a team of youngsters with disabilities in conjunction with East Lothian Council and the S.F.A. He’s involved with the Midnight League and street football and coaches a wide variety of other sports.
He participates in the Hibernian Community Foundation (link below) and is a member of their football team.
He began his music career as a DJ at just 16 and now fills his spare time working as a Function DJ for an Edinburgh based disco and karaoke company.
He simply loves music and plays a wide range from the 60’s (he has even been known to go back to the 40’s!) right through to current and new material. He plays ‘Some Old – Some New & Some Just for You.’
His favourite band is Status Quo, he describes them as ‘The Number 1 Band in the Land’ although he likes A.O.R. (American Orientated Rock) with groups including Firehouse and Tygers of Pan Tang, British rock bands such as Def Leopard and Magnum and Aussie outfit AC/DC. But he also likes his Ska and Mod – like the Jam, The Who, the Beat and many more.
So you can see, Scott’s music taste varies tremendously, which is why we love him.
As Scott says:
I have to keep nipping myself to remind me that Radio Saltire have given me this great chance to let others hear my music and the opportunity to share my passion with them.
