I was born in Glencoe in the Scottish Highlands and brought up in Oban, then on North Uist, an island in the Hebrides.
After a life of prodigal living I became a Christian at the age of 21 and have never had any regrets. Together with my family, I moved to East Lothian in in 1999 and settled in Haddington. I have loved it here ever since.
My favourite pastime is presenting on Radio Saltire – the best radio station in the world, which is run by the finest bunch of folk imaginable, most of whom have become good friends.
I look forward to hearing from and having a chat with you here in the studio or out in the world outside.
