After the tragic killing of a puppy belonging to a family in East Lothian, an organisation has set up an appeal in its memory to raise money and keep the spirit of the pet alive.

The dog walking team Dirty Paws Lothian and its organiser, Tranent-based Grant Redpath, have set up a fundraising drive which has already seen a wave of support and donations from people. The campaign, set up in the name of the cocker spaniel, Mia, has so far raised over £330 and is growing yet still. Donations will continue to be accepted until January 31’st.

You can donate via this web link: http://gogetfunding.com/projects/index/country:united-kingdom

As well as this, the team will also be arranging an Auction/Raffle – which will include free dog walking for a week. Donating can still be arranged, even if it’s as little as a £1 and PayPal and cards are accepted. Even simply sharing the team’s Facebook news feeds can ensure you can make a contribution.
