The main item on Brunch on Wednesday will be a chat with Sandy Potter – he is the author of a play entitled ‘The Scarf’, a poignant tale following four friends who follow the example of Hearts and Hibs players, as well as several local teams of the era, who sign up to become soldiers and enter the battlefields of The Great War.
A timely production, the play is due to be performed in Livingston in mid-November. We’ll be talking to Sandy Potter himself about the play’s origins and it’s use of influences from real sacrifices. Join us 10am until 1pm.
* The play will appear on Monday the 10th and Tuesday the 11th of November at Howden Park Theatre in Livingston. Doors open at 7pm and the play will start at 7.30pm. Tickets are on sale now from the box office at Howden Park Theatre £6 each. You can contact the theatre by phone and they will either send the tickets out to you or put them aside to be picked up on the night.
