Well I’m back!
Not that I’ve been away as all last week we devoted the lunchtime spot to Suicide Prevention Week but now we’re back to normal.
So it’s ‘As you were’ so to speak with ‘AM into the PM’ and I’ve lined up a great show for you this week.
Apart from the regulars – the ‘Spot the TV Show That Grannie Used to Watch’ competition, ‘Joke of the Week’, the ‘Classical Corner’ for classical music dummies like me and our look back to see what has happened ‘On this Day’ in the UK in years past, I will be playing a full spectrum of music from golden oldies to shiny newies and a lot from in between.
AND I have a special guest lined up for you too.
It’s non other than ELC Councillor John McNeil.
John gained local notoriety with his fashion shops – you may recall him and his ladies fashion outlets first in Musselburgh and then his ‘Mother of the Bride’ shop in Haddington.
My wife was even one of his customers (!)
John entered the world of politics in 1999 and became – and remains the ELC member for Musselburgh West.
He has a fascinating story to tell and will be joining me after the News Bulletin at noon.
Oh, and this week’s ‘Artists of the Week’ are Smokie.
Love ’em to bits….I’ll be playing a few of their tracks throughout the show too.
So get close and personal with an internet device of your choice from 10.00 am on Wednesday morning – and I’ll put the kettle on.
