Blasfima-SinnaUp and coming Edinburgh Rapper Blasfima Sinna will be joining Craig on Brunch this Friday.

With a number of tracks already available via the usual Social Networks and iTunes and a string of well received gigs under his belt, Blasfima Sinna will take the opportunity to talk to Craig about his career to date and what he has up his sleeve for 2014.

This promises to be an interview that will really get the year off to a bang!

New Year FireworksThe Radio Saltire Web Team have just posted this year’s New Year Schedule.

Just like last week, our schedule promises some great programmes presented by the team you’ve come to know and love.

Mixed in with the live shows are one or two re-runs of shows you’ve asked to hear again. There’s also a number of presenters with more availability during the holiday period, so look out for them at times you might not expect!

Christmas TreeThe Radio Salitre Web Team have just posted our Christmas Schedule to our website. All of your favourite presenters have come together to produce a schedule that will provide something for everyone over the festive period.

During the day we see the return of Scott Thomson plus an intriguing match up of Andy Forrest and Rosanne Woods on Tuesday.

Christmas Day features a special mix of live shows and pre-records with Davie Martin kicking off the day at 8am. Who better is there to ease the stress of getting the turkey in the oven at the right time?

Inevitably there are some changes to our regular timetable so check out our Schedule page. There may be some changes and we will add our programming for the New Period soon, so make sure you keep an eye on our site. You don’t want to miss anything do you?!

Police ScotlandPolice in East Lothian are appealing for witnesses following a series of break-ins to vehicles.

All eight incidents took place in Haddington between Sunday evening (15th December) and Monday morning (16th December).

On Lennox Road, a Vauxhall Astra and a Peugeot van were broken into and car keys, a Bosch angle grinder and 4″ cutting blade were stolen. The thefts took place between 2.30pm and 7.30am.

A Ford Transit van parked in Bridge Street was also broken into, however nothing was taken. This happened between 8pm and 7.15am.

In Acredales, a Tom Tom was stolen from a blue Volkswagen Estate between 5pm and 8.15am.

On Gifford Gate, a Skoda Superb and a Hyundai were entered between 8pm and 8am and cash, Leica Trikovid binoculars 10x42BA and sunglasses were all stolen.

On St Martins Court, golf clubs, 2 Mikita power drills, an orange pasload nail gun, a green Ryobi drill and a black and orange Revolution circular saw were stolen from a white Ford Transit van between 6pm and 7.15am.

The final incident took place at Burnside, where a vehicle was entered but no items were stolen.

Officers are appealing for any information in relation to the incident

Constable Alan Halliday from Police Scotland said:

Enquiries are ongoing into these brazen crimes.

Those responsible for these thefts may try and sell these items on and so anyone who comes across individuals attempting to do so is asked to contact police immediately

Anyone who remembers seeing any suspicious activity in these streets between Sunday evening and Monday morning, or who has information that can assist with our enquiries is also asked to come forward.

Vehicle owners are reminded to ensure their vehicles are secured when unattended and to leave nothing on display.

Anyone with information should contact Police Scotland on 101, or make an anonymous report through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Duncan Stewart’s Classic Anthems Christmas Special features a special guest this week.

Martin Aelred the acclaimed Scottish Opera singer will be speaking to Duncan before he plays a selection of classic carols.

Duncan met up with Martin at Monday night’s “Lighting of Lights” in Edinburgh’s Charlotte Square. So thanks to Duncan to take time out to send the web team a couple of snaps. Pictured top left is Martin (left) with Radio Saltire’s very own Duncan Stewart.
