Police ScotlandPolice Scotland is appealing for information to help trace a man reported missing in East Lothian.

Alexander Stewart was last seen at his home address in Inchview Crescent, Wallyford at around 11.15am today (Monday).

However, no one has seen or heard from him since then and concern is now growing for his welfare.

Anyone who can assist officers in tracing the 61-year-old is asked to contact police immediately.

He is described as white, around 6 ft tall with grey receding hair. He is believed to be wearing glasses, a brown puffa jacket with black sleeves, navy jogging trousers and black Fila trainers.

Inspector Alan Hogarth said:

Mr Stewart lives with dementia and as such we are keen to trace him as soon as possible.

Anyone who believes they have seen him since Monday morning is asked to contact police immediately.

Similarly, anyone with information that can help establish Mr Stewart’s whereabouts is also asked to get in touch.

Update – Man Found

Police in East Lothian can confirm that Alexander Stuart has been found safe and well.

The 61-year-old was traced within the Wallyford area in the early hours of this morning (Tuesday).
