L&B Police LogoPolice in East Lothian are investigating an incident that happened yesterday (Monday, September 17) where two cars were stolen from a property in Musselburgh.

A group of four men broke into a house in Carberry Road around 2pm and stole the keys to a black Audi and red Mercedes, both of which were parked in the driveway.

They then made off in both vehicles along Carberry Road, towards Whitecraig roundabout.  All of the suspects are described as in their early 20s, and white.  They all wore dark clothing.

A Lothian and Borders Police spokesman said:

This was a brazen theft carried out in the middle of the day, and we are appealing to anyone with information that can assist our inquiries to come forward.

In particular, we want to speak to anyone who may have seen a group of men acting suspiciously in the area prior to the incident, likewise anyone who noticed the black Audi or red Mercedes being driven away from the scene.
