Iain shares the concerns of many East Lothian residents about public transport and especially rural bus routes. Many of our villages and outlying hamlets risked losing their services completely, so Iain told us about the hard work he has been doing to organise alternative operators to take over these routes.
He also spoke about the possibility of re-opening the East Linton Railway Station as part of a plan to improve the commuter train service to Dunbar.
Iain was very impressed by the service offered by East Lothian FM. He agreed that there is a definite need for a community radio station in the county and hoped that we would be successful in our application for a license to broadcast on FM.
